That hybrid Intersync brings back memories of my college days at LA City College. We had a VR-1001A (that was the upright version) that had that Intersync. I got it going but not without a shocking experience. Ampex mounted the transistors on phenolic boards at the rear right next to a tube socket with 400 volts on it!
