I have been in broadcasting for 30 years; having interned at the PTL Television
Network, where I got my first taste of videotape on 2 and 1 and
got hooked! After my internship, I moved back to my hometown of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Pittsburgh</st1:city>, <st1:state w:st="on">PA</st1:state></st1:place>
where I worked at WRS Video Labs, starting as a dubber, but was soon promoted
to Engineer and eventually to Shop Foreman. While there, I maintained
Ampex AVR-1s and had the opportunity to restore two AVR-2s.
I mainly worked on their Ampex 1 VPR-2Bs though.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2" face="Arial"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;

to be closer to her. There I worked for WPDE-TV15, maintaining their
Umatic and Beta SP decks. In 1995, I transitioned into my present
position at <st1:placename w:st="on">ICI</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype>,
which became <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Global</st1:placename>
<st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> in 2000.

2, I figure that I must be one of the youngest (at age 50) who operated
