<P>Here are a couple photos that may further illustrate the earlier posting about the magnetic dropouts introduced onto a tape by RCAs air cushion tape guide holes becoming clogged with magnetic oxide material.</P>

<P>This guide was replaced on a TR-22 many years ago:</P>
<P> </P>
<P>first photo is a close-up taken at 3 inches back</P>
<P>sceond photo is pulled straight back about 12 inches, holes arent even visible at that point.</P>
<P> </P>
<P>I'm amazed how tiny those holes are, or what kind of drill made them, if it was a drill.</P>
