I've never seen those anywhere else, but it looked to me like the end panels were made from the top part of other VTR end panels, modified to fit somehow. I do not know much more about them. R/T had a bunch of dubbing VTR's on the 2nd floor at 304 E 44th Street with that configuration. When the dubbing center was moved to Astoria, Queens into the former Checker Cab dealership (across the street from Kaufman/Astoria Studios) in 1985, the overbridges were apparently removed. All the VTR's in Astoria had no overbridges, which meant of course that some of them were 'open-topped'.</div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Ted also sed:</div><div><br></div><div>> I like the Kimwipe dispenser hole above the spot-reel holder in the far-right rack section of the overbridge. It looks like they took three sections of equipment rack, bolted together side-by-side and cut them to fit at an angle, then installed modified Ampex end panels on them to make the overbridge.
