When up to speed and no inhibit logic, disk does a full seek to the innermost cylinder(trk 202/404) and the heads load/ beginning about cyl 60 and ride/fly on a 93 mph film of air. They reach full tension and latch when EOC is reached.</P>

Maybe $40 to have an interesting conversation piece, but aside from that it's pretty worthless. Haven't seen an HS-100 up and running in a very long time. <BR>Remember several times our unit at Mobile Color (Houston) coming back from a rental with the top box (disc unit) upside down in the freight truck.
