later changed to several different models of NEC. Not sure they ever used

<DIV>There were several upgrades to a VR-1200 and VR-1100 that Merlin
offered. One of which I believe was the use of the Ampex TBC-2.
They started off with the NEC TBC and at a later time offered the Ampex
unit. Did they do any? I do not know.</DIV>
