<html><head><style type="text/css"><!-- DIV {margin:0px;} --></style></head><body><div style="font-family:times new roman,new york,times,serif;font-size:12pt"><div>The video head assy. looks like a Ampex MK-X has all of the marking.  I can not remember but I think The machine main frame is Shibaden with  signal system electronics made by Denon.<br><br>Merlin Eng. made a unit called "VISA"  Vertical interval stereo audio, was design for the US Air Force testing at Edwards AFB in Calif. First units were use to view and collect data in flight. The data and view object was at the same time, so engineers could see the results and view the fault.  Later we use basic   design to make a unit for commercial stereo audio on quads, much less expensive that the modes for the ACR-25's for MTV, as you just needed one unit to make the recording  or playback.  At that time the one inch machine were just starting to come into play
