<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div>As long-time QuadList readers have seen, we're primarily focused on Quad Videotape: Preserving Tape, Equipment and the Knowledge to use them, in conjunction with the Library of Congress.</div><div><br></div><div>We do have some excursions into historical (or occasionally other) realms that aren't exactly On Topic, but are in some way (sometimes loosely) related to Quad or the Quad Era.</div><div><br></div><div>I neither wish to discourage or encourage such postings, in part because there's some fun to be had, and we often learn something—perhaps something rather significant—as these Off Topic (OT) threads run their course.</div><div><br></div><div>As the Secretary and Webmaster (such as that is) I <i>am</i> concerned with the topic SNR, such that people don't begin to unsubscribe because the tracking is out of adjustment and the heads are reading the guard band or worse. </div><div><br></div><div>We have had relatively few un-subscribes over the life of the list... and we're more than 100 strong as of this writing. Including several new members I haven't had a moment to welcome, yet.</div><div><br></div><div>On the other hand, we had three or four unsubscribes in the last 30-60 days, which Is a little unusual.
