I helped take care of one in Edmonton Canada in the seventies. We only had one and went direct to air (no day tape) It was very reliable. One of the other stations in town had a TCR and we teased them. I kept that cassette and I think I have it somewhere. I had to tape of the edge connector for the pin feeding the counter the night before or 1,000,000 would have happened in the middle of the night. By doing that I had it happen at lunch time so more people could be there. Of course, in this mode, the spots have to be rewound or cued up later, but that's not a problem.
