<DIV>The VR-1100 was updated a lot.  I know of a number of places that 

called it a VR-1199 after the high banding with the 1200 electronics.  The 

basic machine was pretty much a 1200 except for the control panel and some deck 

items.  I think is was just a name that became like a nickname through out 

the engineers.  </DIV>
