Thank you for the explanation of the DOC on the Ampex machine. I never saw one with the module 16 installed. The only ones that I ever saw were the 3 M units. <BR>

I recall at KTLA years ago seeing what they called Ampex "1199's", which I think were jeeped up 1100's with 1200 electronics. I may be off about the model number, but it was not a standard Ampex catalog item. I think the engineers there created the term after their ingenuity. <BR>
