literature on them which I will try to get posted soon. Also some
application notes from Ampex for their rotary head instrumentation
recorders. Some of the early RCA designs were surprisingly

<DIV>I read the brochure. It says that the machine can play back a tape
made on an AR-500 or AR-550 airborn recorder. I had heard taht RCA had
made an octoplex machine that was used as the basis for their portable
quad. What does anyone know about these machines.</DIV>
