I was kind of grooving on the event and didn't want to unplug it in expectation more interesting things might happen. I even got off on the acrid cheap burning plastic smell. I think the tube went, and that set had already been repaired more than once. But here in Brasil it's common to repair things, which is a forlorn process because things break and are made like junk. Fans, irons, hair dryers, TVs, beard trimmers, - they all break constantly and are rewired, jury-rigged and the repair shops are the saddest places. Even the abandoned 4th-hand hair kitchen mixer, repaired and coated with dust and phlegm, tape on the AC plug, is for sale at 30$. </div><div><br></div><div>I'll have to find some kind of furniture mailinglist to talk about how that all breaks too. This is one big reason why Brasilians all want to go to the US.
