<DIV>Yes there were issues with the AVR 2 and tape tension.  The Triac had 

a number of modifications to it.  The capstan was so good that it could get 

lock while boost was still on.  This caused sync problems under an edit 

controller.  They kept trying and never really got it perfect.  That 

was about the only thing that I hated with the machine.  </DIV>
