The first order of business was putting up my double bazooka antenna, which had problems due to the location. It works when out in the open, but daughter Stephanie has moved into a new place without the outside space I had grown accustomed to. Solution: find a working antenna system and go there!</font></div> <div><font> </font></div> <div><font>I found a local Ham Radio Club that is absolutely fantastic! It is totally loaded with super antenna systems, gear, and a clubhouse that is second to none in the world! This I promise you! This club makes enough income to support side businesses that are first class ... they have an administration office staffed by full time employees! They are a friendly bunch of guys, and after a little talk ... they are fans of my last CQ article, and have it in their front office by the way ... they were kind enough to let me set up my 7200 today for a test run, and antenna check.</font></div> <div><font></font> </div> <div><strong><font><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;">Tomorrow, or Tuesday I will be on for a few more hours starting at 6PM east coast time! Just like you see in the attached photo, my new trusty ICOM 7200 will replace their ICOM 746 Pro on the desk for my special event... They will get to see for the first time, a 7200 in operation. The bands are not good now, but you may hear me with their antenna system. They have an amp as well if needed. I always use only 100 watts or less though.
