I have a feeling I have a complete head assembly, but would need a photo of your unit to confirm, not sure of its condition though.
Kind Regards

Hi, Vladimir,
Tony Korte of Video Magnetics in Colorado Springs may be able to help.
His company is the last Quad Head rebuilder.
I've CC'd Tony so this comes to his attention more quickly.
If you have a ruler that you can put alongside the head it may help Tony determine more about the dimensions, and whether they are similar to existing heads.
If you have photos of the entire head assembly, the bottom of the mounting plate, and the transport deckplate where the head goes, it could assist with determining whether an existing Ampex assembly could be used. Ruler in pictures would be helpful.
Hope this is helpful.

Hi all.
Let me introduce myself
I am Vladimir Lozinski, an Australian ex editor living in Europe. ( An evil witch turned me into a Producer).
I am helping some colleagues in Georgia ( the country not the state) try to restore a machine....Not an AVR 3 but....... a Soviet copy of an AVR 3.
After trawling my old global phone book for colleagues who worked on them ( I started on the AVR 2 myself) I came across this group. I really hope you guys can help out.
First question to the group.
Where can we get replacement heads for the machine?
I attach a photo of the head in question.
Best regards.
Vladimir Lozinski.
